Video Surveillance

To protect our guests, employees, business premises, cash holdings and inventory, we operate a video surveillance system within our restaurant. Video surveillance is carried out only to the extent necessary to protect our legitimate interests. This includes, in particular, entrance and access areas, cash register and bar areas, storage rooms, cold storage areas, delivery entrances and, where necessary for security purposes, parts of publicly accessible guest areas. The purpose of the video surveillance is to protect persons and property, to prevent and investigate burglary, theft, property damage, vandalism and other security-related incidents. Where necessary, recordings may also be used as evidence for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Video recordings are stored locally only. Access to the recordings is restricted exclusively to the management. Recordings are viewed only where a specific incident requires it. Recordings will only be disclosed where necessary for legal proceedings or where required by law, in particular to courts, law enforcement authorities, insurance companies or legal representatives.

Recordings are automatically deleted after a maximum period of 72 hours unless a longer retention period is required for evidential purposes or by law. No automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR takes place.

Your Rights

Under applicable data protection law, you have the right to access, rectify, erase or restrict the processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, the right to withdraw consent where applicable, and the right to object to processing. If you believe that the processing of your personal data violates applicable data protection law or that your rights have otherwise been infringed, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
